YouTube Channel Manager

Location: Gateshead office, with hybrid-working

Salary: Up to £35,000 (dependant on experience)

As the YouTube Channel Lead at Vertu Motors plc, you will own the strategic, creative, and operational delivery of our YouTube presence. This role is pivotal in driving brand visibility, audience engagement, and commercial performance across one of the UK’s largest automotive retail groups.

You’ll lead the channel end-to-end – from content strategy and planning through production oversight to performance optimisation. Acting as the central point of accountability, you’ll collaborate with internal teams and external production partners to deliver high-quality, search-optimised automotive content that resonates with our audience.

You will lead and grow Vertu Motors’ YouTube channel, driving strategy and production from start to finish. This includes managing external partners, aligning content with SEO insights, and ensuring all videos meet brand standards. You’ll oversee publishing schedules, optimise content for YouTube and supporting platforms, and use performance data to refine strategy. Clear documentation and process management will ensure consistency and scalability.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience managing a YouTube channel, strong knowledge of platform strategy, analytics, and SEO, and familiarity with long-form video content and editing. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills are essential, alongside a data-driven mindset and understanding of video production workflows. A passion for the automotive industry and car-buying journeys is highly desirable.
