Design and provide clinical interventions, teach staff and actively participate on the treatment team to enable youth to reach their highest levels of independence in the community. Works a 40 hour salaried, unlimited, flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the program and youth in our care. Facilitate admissions, assess behavioral needs, complete bio-psycho-social assessments, develop and implement appropriate plans of care, assess and modify treatment plans in response to changing behavioral health needs of individuals served. Gain prior authorization and reauthorization on time as required meeting the needs of youth via the Strength and Needs Assessment, Performcare Joint Care Review / Treatment Planning systems. Provide hands-on and clinical training effectively by supervising the general behavioral needs of each individual served while promoting a consumer-oriented approach to behavioral supports. Interact with other support staff and administration to ensure continuity, proper accurate timely documentation and coordination of care. Document information and interventions in accordance with DCF, Medicaid and ALLIES, INC. requirements. Communicate effectively with supervisor, other support staff, youth, families, and outside agencies as appropriate. Participate in client-centered treatment team meetings and staff meetings as assigned. Provide training for individuals served in the areas of managing behavioral needs and conduct on-going training for staff as directed. Provide training for support staff on specific behavioral support methods and plans related to the specific needs of the individuals served. Review the implementation of approved treatment plans/programs. Respond to crises and provide interventions as needed, including but not limited to hands-on restraints if required. Review pertinent records of individuals on a need to know basis, while following HIPAA (Health Information Portability Accountability Act of 1996) guidelines. Recommend policies and procedures on behavioral support/intervention/planning as new methods become available. Successfully completes required residential training, including but not limited to: New Hire Orientation; CPR and First Aid; Medication Administration; Preventing Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation; Shifting Expectations, Life Experience and Services; Life Threatening Emergencies (Danielle's Law); Stephen Komninos' Law; Crisis Management; Corporate Compliance; General Behavior; In-House Orientation; and other required trainings. Completes annual training, including role specific trainings relative to Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement. Participate in appropriate professional growth and continuing education opportunities. Works with each individual's treatment team (IDT) and all other interested parties to build self-esteem and social capitol for each individual served. Be on-call as directed by agency administration. Other duties as assigned Graduation from an accredited college with a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other behavioral science program approved for clinical licensure. Must have either a LAC, LSW, LPC or LCSW Maintain professional license and continuing education requirements as per their credentialing board Have secured or will secure and maintain Strength and Needs Assessment certification within 30 days of employment, and maintain it as required by DCF. Understanding of PerformCare and the CYBER system strongly preferred. Ability to lift and transfer at least 50 lbs. The ability to sit, bend, squat, reach, and stand for several hours at a time Valid unrestricted driver's license with a good driving record Possess Basic Computer Literacy skills Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English and direct/respond to client's needs
