Youth Services Specialists needed to work in a Correctional setting across Colorado
+ Colorado Springs, Denver, Golden, Grand Junction, Greeley, Pueblo
+ 40hrs/wk - Days, Mids and Nights available
+ 9/2 start, 26wk contract
+ $30/hr after orientation
+ Ideal candidates have experience in corrections, security, or juvenile detention centers
The Youth Care Worker (YCW) is responsible for the oversightand safety of children or adolescents in a variety of secure setting caresettings. The Youth Care Worker willinteract with the youth in a positive manner while assisting them with dailyactivities and implementing treatment plans.
The Youth Care Worker will display a professional and caringattitude and will encourage positive behaviors through effective communication,decision-making, and problem-solving. The Youth Care Worker will respond to emergencies and assist in theredirection of youth when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Associate’s Degree in social sciences, counseling,behavioral sciences, human services, criminal justice, education, or childdevelopment preferred
+ A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the care, custody, orpersonal guidance of youth
+ Bilingual or multilingual may be preferred in somesettings
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
