Youth and Family Support Specialist II

YOU Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth and Family Support Specialist II to provide in-home and community-based services to youth and families involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). This role is essential in promoting safety, permanency, and well-being for children and families facing complex challenges such as poverty, trauma, and behavioral health needs.

 

Pay: $25.25/hour

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field required plus 1–3 years of related experience; or 5+ years working with youth and families in child welfare or community-based settings Certifications: CPR/First Aid preferredDriver’s License: Standard Class C or D license requiredOther Requirements:Reliable transportationAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekendsMust pass CORI, SORI, driving record, and DCF background checksFamiliarity with Massachusetts child welfare system preferredCommitment to equity, inclusion, and honoring lived experienceSkills and Knowledge:Child development and family-centered careStrong verbal and written communicationCultural competence and trauma-informed practiceCounseling and relationship-building skillsAssessment and documentation proficiencyAbility to collaborate across systems and disciplines
