At Barco, we are committed to delivering high-quality products that meet and exceed customer expectations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability and performance of our diagnostic imaging software and hardware systems.
Objectives of this Role
Understand product requirements and translate them into test plans and test cases. Ensure the quality and reliability of products through rigorous testing. Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects. Continuously improve testing processes and tools. Contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests. Identify, record, and track bugs using appropriate tools. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products. Monitor debugging process results and improve test coverage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools. Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus. Familiarity with Agile development processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
