Job Description
Join our team as a Yard Worker, where you will play a crucial role in preparing mobile trailers for construction projects. Your tasks will involve cleaning, repairing, and ensuring trailers are ready for deployment. Responsibilities include carpentry work, repairing holes, light painting, installing plugs and switches, ensuring heating or air conditioning functionality, and cleaning windows, blinds, and doors. You will also use a forklift to load trailers.
ResponsibilitiesClean, repair, and prepare mobile trailers for construction projects.Conduct carpentry work and repair any holes.Perform light painting tasks.Install plugs and switches without power.Ensure heating or air conditioning systems are operational.Clean windows, blinds, and doors.Use forklifts to load trailers.Essential SkillsExperience in construction, including cleaning, carpentry, and installation of plugs and switches.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Forklift experience with sit-down forklifts or large skytrak.Strong attention to detail and care for the finished product.Additional Skills & QualificationsMig or Arc Welding skills are highly preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, such as shops and yards. You will be exposed to various weather conditions including cold, rain, snow, sun, heat, and wind. The position is primarily 1st shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with increased hours averaging 50-55 hours per week during the construction season.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
