One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Yard Foreman to work on a 12-month assignment in their facilities in Port Fourchon – GOM.
Summary:
The Yard Foreman is responsible for inspecting all equipment arriving at the shore base to ensure compliance with company standards. They will oversee and coordinate the safe loading and offloading of equipment onto vessels and/or trucks, working closely with the yard crew to maintain efficient operations.
Responsibilities: Inspect incoming equipment for compliance with company and regulatory standards. Coordinate and supervise the safe loading and unloading of equipment onto vessels and trucks. Work closely with the yard crew to ensure smooth and efficient yard operations. Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to support operational needs.
Requirements: No formal experience required; some experience is preferred. Strong common sense and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Must have a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card before starting. Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards, such as OSHA regulations, is beneficial. Knowledge of workover operations and industry-specific technologies is a plus, but not required. Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products.
