Job Overview: The X-ray Technician performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist physicians and APP's in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. The X-ray Technologist ensures quality imaging, radiation safety, and efficient workflow in the clinic. Qualifications: Required: + High School Diploma or GED + Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program + Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-ray Technician in a hospital or physician's office + Knowledge of medical terminology + Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook Preferred: + EPIC knowledge is a plus + Working with Carestream XR machine and Horizon Health Care PACS is a plus + Experience with non-weightbearing patients/stretcher patients is a plus + Knowledge of leg length series is a plus Certifications and Licenses Required: + AART + NJ Radiologic Tech License + CPR Certification approved by the American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements: + 12:00pm - 5:00pm + Monday and Thursday + Part-Time Essential Functions: + 40 x-rays per day + Multiple views for Sports Medicine, Trauma and Joint Replacement, Upper Ext, Lower Ext, and Spine + Other duties as assigned Other Things to Know: This job description outlines the core responsibilities of the role, but it’s not meant to cover every task you may take on.
