Essential Functions: Verify proper specifications for hose. 2. Properly set the traverse on the reel up for the size of hose being worked. 3. Check center pitch when hose is moved out of the wrap machine. 4. Load machine with nylon and properly monitor through the process. 5. Identify and eliminate any known defects – tape flips, bad stripe, folded nylon, etc. 6. Prepare and complete necessary paperwork. DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately. + Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner. + Maintain production schedules. + Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S. + Other duties may be assigned later. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Education required: High School diploma or GED Experience: Production work preferred but not required Preferred Skills/Qualifications: + Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills + Basic knowledge and use of hand tools + Sound decision making skills + Good math, reading, writing skills + Demonstrated mechanical aptitude + Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product + Strong trouble shooting skills Skills/Competencies: 1. Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office package 2.
