PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:To assist the Operator and Assistant Operator in the setup & operate, when necessary, any piece of equipment to run a corrugated box to meet customer specifications

 

SAFETY PROCEDURES:

 

Read and understand SAFETY RULES & HOUSEKEEPING GUIDELINES and receive training in proper operating procedures

 

Receive instructions in the following.

 

Lockout proceduresHearing protectionSafety shoesMoving machineryAll stop buttonsAll nip pointsConveyor safetyLifting and pushing/pullingSafety guards, gates & chains

 

HOUSEKEEPING:

 

Perform daily clean-up of areaDump trash as neededPerform extra clan up during downtimeFollow cleaning schedule listed in Safety ManualKeep scrap picked up

 

MANUFACTURING PROCESS:

 

Read & use Factory Order & Print Card to determine proper  

                                   equipment settings

Ability to know if equipment is operating properlyAbility to :Set stackerInstall dies, attachments & printing platesSet pull rolls, collars & strapsSet scores, heads & blade combinationsSet Prefeeder & Lead Edge FeederCheck stock for correct sizeAdjust equipment for proper pressures & registerOperate glue and ink systemsSet folding rails, squaring section & ejector
