We’re seeking a proactive and skilled Workshop Service Engineer to join our team. In this workshop-based role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, repairing and testing Hiab, Multilift, Moffett and third-party equipment. Using your technical expertise and strong product knowledge, you’ll deliver a high level of customer service through effective diagnostics and customer interaction. If you're mechanically minded, solution-focused, and passionate about quality workmanship, we want to hear from you.
This position will be based in Uphall, Scotland.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Undertakes servicing of Hiab, Multilift, Moffett or third party equipment on behalf of our customer
Complete all service, repair, warranty and inspection jobs allocated daily, to a high quality standard
Build strong rapport and relationships with customers, through professional behaviour and customer focused mindset
Completing all job related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner to ensure correct invoicing to the customer
Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve standard technical problems that arise, ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
Develop skills and knowledge of the organisation’s products and service
Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and in compliance with the company's safety rules / procedures and with regulations and codes of practice.
Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents / incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in Safety Walks, Safety Audits and 5S events etc. as required.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education in Mechanical/Hydraulic/Electrical Engineering
Experienced multi-skilled engineer
Experience in mechanical , hydraulic and DC electrical operations
Experience with Diagnostic programs
Computer literate for daily use of laptop , ipad and phone
Driving licence
Excellent customer focused approach
Quality orientated
Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
Ability to learn and adapt to changing situations
Ability to connect with end-user customers at different levels in their organisations
Ability to investigate customer needs and connect that to our solution is crucial.
Ability to develop and grow long-term relationships with customers
Fluency in English
