The product offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading, and hauling and materials handling.JOB PURPOSEThe Workshop Planner will be responsible for working closely with the workshop team to plan for manpower and material requirements to meet delivery commitments.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESOrders parts for all equipment related jobsOrganizes outgoing shipment of unitsPrepares material and information packages for the workshop team before arrival of the unitUpdates scope of work and distributes as requiredPlaces purchase orders for major components and outside services related to equipment jobsGenerates weekly backorder/expedite reports for Workshop ManagerRequired to participate in weekly production meetings and prepare required dataCompletes pertinent data collection and reporting as required by locationRequired to participate in all workshop safety meetingsComplies with SMC safety policies and applicable government, industry regulations or requirementsHealth and Safety: Identifies and reports any unsafe work habitsEXPERIENCEMinimum of 4 years related experience in a workshop rebuild planning capacityEDUCATIONAssociate degree or two year-College Diploma in Business Administration,Project Management or Logistics.COMPETENCIESComputer systems literacyExperience using Microsoft ProjectsStrong report writing skillsSuperior standard of interpersonal skills, which will contribute to teamwork, is requiredAbility to work as part of an integrated, broad teamAn in depth understanding of customer business processesSuperior customer relations skillsHighly developed time management and organizational skillsHigh level of initiative, drive and determination to achieve goals and targets set for customer satisfactionBenefitsSandvik offers a comprehensive total compensation package, including a competitive benefits package of health, dental and disability insurance, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan.
