Position Overview
The Technical Facility Assistant Manager supports the day-to-day operations and maintenance of commercial real estate facilities, ensuring optimal building performance, tenant satisfaction, and asset value preservation.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Assist in overseeing daily facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systemsSupport preventive maintenance programs and vendor managementCoordinate with building engineers and maintenance staffMonitor building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systemsTechnical Support
Conduct regular building inspections and equipment assessmentsTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issuesReview and approve work orders and maintenance requestsEnsure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standardsTenant Relations
Respond to tenant service requests and concernsCoordinate tenant improvements and move-in/move-out activitiesMaintain positive tenant relationships through proactive communicationSupport lease administration and space planning initiativesProject Coordination
Assist with capital improvement projects and renovationsManage vendor relationships and contractor oversightSupport budgeting and cost control initiativesCoordinate emergency response proceduresRequired Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or related field preferred2-3 years of commercial real estate or facility management experienceTechnical background in building systems and operationsTechnical Skills
Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systemsFamiliarity with building automation systems and energy managementUnderstanding of building codes and safety regulationsProject management capabilitiesCore Competencies
Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesCustomer service focusPreferred Qualifications
