Position Summary

The Workplace Accommodations Manager is responsible for managing employees, applicant, and pre-hire requests for reasonable accommodation with applicable stakeholders. This includes programmatic oversight to include needs assessment, planning development and implementation of all activities related to employee accommodation requests related to disability, pregnancy, and religious accommodation process under applicable federal, state, and local laws.

This role will manage cases, including escalations, through all phases of the interactive process in accordance with state and federal law (e.g., the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Civil Rights Act), as well as company policies. It will also support the design and implementation of standardized policies and practices that are compliant, efficient, and deliver an excellent employee service.

Responsibilities

Supports end-to-end business process design, implementation, and improvement of standardized policies and processes for the Accommodations function to meet short- and long-term organizational goals.Performs timely and comprehensive end-to-end case management by engaging in the interactive process with applicants and employees seeking reasonable accommodations based on disability, medical condition and/or religious beliefs and their managers.Coordinates with employees, managers, H P Partners, Legal Benefits, payroll and Leave teams to resolve issues related to reasonable accommodations.Manages, communicates, and trains leaders and HP Team to develop competency and awareness to ensure accommodations align with MHS values and legal.Facilitates reasonable accommodations trainings and deploy resources for leaders and HP team.Maintains information to track and ensure accurate and timely case management, including documentation of the interactions associated with requests for reasonable accommodations, the interactive process and communications regarding accommodation outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experienceFive (5) years of relevant work experience in any of the following areas: Employee Relations, Accommodations, Leave of Absence to include duties of interpreting and ensuring human resources regulatory complianceOne (1) year of experience in high volume, complex case management requiredThorough knowledge and understanding of disability management; return-to-work strategies; religious accommodation laws and related HR compliance regulations requiredThorough knowledge of Federal and State HR regulations, especially as related to ADA and religious accommodations and leaves of absences advanced required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $87,818.00 - $126,381.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
