What You'll Do

As an independent and motivated Working Student, you'll be part of the global IT Meetings & Events Technology Services Team (METS), who is the technical partner to support any internal and external BCG-hosted meetings and events. METS is an established team of global technical professionals with a wide network of AV, meetings services (network, print etc), hybrid and virtual meeting solutions.

 

In this role you will gain interesting insights into IT project management while supporting the delivery of IT scope for BCG’s biggest meetings & events with a global footprint. This will include:

Support team collaboration through meetings management (e.g. scheduling, summaries, retrospectives)Maintain existing playbooks & best practices, and update based on learnings and retros as continuous improvement cyclesContribute into scope, budget, resource and risk management for major eventsConduct data analysis to answer specific business questionsWrite reports and presentations to document ways of working/best practices, and contribute into stakeholder decision makingExplore & experiment with AI powered tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to re-define our ways of working, automating process steps or entire processes as part of technical event delivery

The duties described above make up a typical, but not necessarily complete list. You will be embedded in our Munich IT hub, to which you can contribute to connect with a wide variety of roles and individuals from diverse technical backgrounds and focus areas, giving you an idea of how large-scale global IT teams work.

 

You can work up to 20 hours/week during your semesters and up to 40 hours/week during your vacation time. The role offers enough flexibility to combine personal, academic and professional life. This is a temporary role from min. 12 to max. 24 months. You need to be an enrolled university student in Germany.

What You'll Bring

You are currently enrolled at an institute of higher education in Germany and have completed a Bachelor's degreeYou have ideally completed internships or gained some practical experience in an IT or a project management oriented roleYou are a proficient user of the MS Office packageVery good written and spoken English language skills complete your profile, German is a plus

Who You'll Work With

In an international environment, you'll work together closely with the METS IT Program Director in the Global Services Munich Hub, who will support you in your daily work, and with our team of AV/IT event experts globally. You will embed into a local IT hub community, who will allow you to engage with experts from different fields of IT, and you will connect into a global IT community, with occasional collaboration with IT experts relevant to specific tasks or problems assigned to you.
