Working Student (f/m/d) Research & Development (20 hrs/week; 12 months)

based in Monheim am Rhein

About the Role

Join our dynamic Equipment Solutions team within RD&E, where chemistry meets engineering to deliver integrated, sustainable, and customer-centric solutions. As a Working Student, you’ll support the development, testing, and optimization of equipment and formulations that power Ecolab’s innovation pipeline.

Your responsibilities

Conduct standardized lab tests (e.g., pH, viscosity, material compatibility, wash performance)Operate and monitor test rigs and pilot-scale equipmentAssist in the setup and validation of new equipment prototypesSupport formulation development and recipe testing in collaboration with chemists and engineersDocument test results in lab notebooks, digital logs, and technical reportsMaintain lab inventory and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards including adequate use of proper personal protective equipmentCollaborate on cross-functional projectsParticipate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Your profile

Enrolled in a degree program in chemisty, biochemistry, chemical engineering or related fieldHands-on lab or technical workshop experience preferredFluency in English; German is a plusExcellent organizational and communication skillsCareful, reliable, goal orientated with independent working methodTeam-orientated, dedicated, and flexibleProficient in MS Office
