Job DescriptionAs a working student (m/f/diverse) in our Global Tread Compound Development team at the location Hanover-Stöcken, you will support our experts in various data-driven and technical tasks related to tire compound performance. Your contributions will help streamline internal processes and enhance our data evaluation capabilities. You will be starting as soon as possible for a weekly working-time of 20 hours for at least 6 months.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Excel Tool Development:
Assist in the creation of an Excel-based tool to calculate tire performance based on known compound mixtures.Support the structuring of formulas and logic under the guidance of senior developers.2. Database Support:
Help compile and structure a database of tire test results for tread compound classification.Assist with data entry, validation, and organization of performance metrics.3. Data Correction Implementation:
Support the implementation of temperature correction methods for wear test results.Help integrate correction factors into existing evaluation workflows.4. Evaluation Tool Creation
Assist in developing a tool to summarize and evaluate chemical and physical test results from tire samples.Help visualize and structure data for easier interpretation by the development team.QualificationsEnrolled student (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Chemistry, Materials Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field Strong interest in data analysis, materials development, or automotive technologyGood knowledge of Microsoft ExcelFirst experience with data tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or databases)Fluent in English language (written & spoken)German language skills are a plusAnalytical mindset and attention to detailPlease attach your current certificate of enrollment and also your current transcripts of records.
