GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (AP/AR) Manager will provide leadership and direction for both the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions across the company. This role is responsible for the full-cycle management of both departments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, maintaining strong financial records, and improving efficiency and cash flow. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience managing a team, and excellent communication and analytical skills This position will report to the Global Controller. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES Role Summary Lead end-to-end AP and AR operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, strong controls, and healthy cash flow. Partner with leadership to streamline processes, elevate team performance, and deliver clear, actionable reporting. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable + Own the full AP lifecycle—invoice intake, 3-way match/validation, coding, and approval. + Review and approve invoices to ensure proper documentation and authorization. + Prepare and execute vendor payments (checks, wires, ACH) and manage related payment files. + Build and maintain strong vendor relationships; resolve issues and discrepancies promptly. Accounts Receivable + Oversee cash application and collections to meet DSO targets. + Ensure timely, accurate recording of customer payments and credits. + Monitor payment terms, escalate and pursue past-due balances, and resolve disputes. + Communicate with customers to address billing questions and payment plans. Leadership, Reporting & Close + Lead, coach, and develop AP/AR teams; provide ongoing feedback and training. + Direct AP Manager and AR Supervisors; set goals, track performance, and remove blockers. + Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and resolve variances. + Prepare, analyze, and present monthly/quarterly AP & AR metrics (e.g., aging, DSO/DPO, cash application KPIs). + Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. + Compliance and Continuous Improvement + Establish, document, and enforce AP/AR policies and procedures (SOX/compliance ready). + Serve as subject-matter expert for AP/AR processes and system modules (e.g., ERP/Workflow). + Partner with the CFO and Global Controller to optimize working capital, automate workflows, and improve efficiency. SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES + Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure: a commitment to achieving customer satisfaction is the key to success in this position. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline - oriented environment. + Proactive, organized, and process driven with strong planning, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. + Ability to assess risk and escalate issues appropriately. + Strong ability to analyze, document and troubleshoot cross-functional processes. + Ability to build and foster strong working relationships across departments. + Experience in dealing with employee relations such as mentoring, coaching and accountability. + Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). + Skilled with the analysis of reports, validation of information and interpretation of data. + Ability to forecast issues and identify trends early, evaluate alternatives and implement comprehensive and innovative solutions. + Act as a player coach, primarily supervising, but also as an individual contributor as needed + Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS + Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools. + Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, especially related to accounts receivable and revenue recognition. + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. + High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, and ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks. + Problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, and ability to identify and implement process improvements. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE + Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA, CPA or CMA a plus. + 5–8+ years in AP/AR with 2+ years leading teams in a multi-entity or high-volume environment. + Proficiency with ERP systems and AP/AR automation tools; strong Excel skills. + Track record driving process improvements and managing change. + Vendor/customer negotiation, and cross-functional partnering skills. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The compensation range for this role is $105,000 - $115,000 USD per year.
