As a trusted advisor, you’ll build in-depth knowledge of clients’ business priorities, challenges and initiatives that can be translated into WorkForce Software/Partner opportunities. You will use knowledge of technology, products, processes, industry expertise, partners, and consultative sales skills to assess and educate customers on value of WorkForce Software Services offerings and identify/define scope.
The Principal Strategic Account Partner, Managed Services serves as the commercial and operational bridge between Sales, Managed Services Delivery, Finance, and Legal. This role owns the pre-sales engagement model, including solution shaping, SOW creation, pricing, and commercial risk management, and ensures engagements transition cleanly from sale to delivery. This individual is accountable to ensure that what is sold is deliverable, profitable, scalable, and aligned with Managed Services capabilities and standards.

What you can expect on a typical day:
Pre-Sales Engagement & Deal Support/Governance. Partner with Sales, Account Executives, and Solution Consulting translating customer needs into Managed Services-appropriate solutions during the sales cycle. Act as the Managed Services authority in late-stage deal negotiations and participate in deal review /approval forums. SOW Development & Contractual Ownership. You will validate and verify that the proposed solution being sold can be delivered and supported by associated WorkForce Software and ADP teams (Delivery, Product, SaaS, Support, etc.). Own the end-to-end creation of statements of work (SOWs), exhibits/appendices, service descriptions and scope definitions with embedded SLAs, KPIs and success criteria. Partner with legal and procurement to resolve redlines and contractual risks. Stay Up To Date.You’ll stay abreast of the status for each campaign, and independently provide reliable booking forecasts weekly, monthly, and quarterly. Multi-Task & Communicate.You will work on multiple time-sensitive projects and follow-up items simultaneously. The Principal Strategic Account Partner will also assist with the development of collateral for RFP’s and RFI responses. You will share essential information with clients and the teams you work with at ADP. Pricing & Financial Modeling. Build and maintain Managed Services pricing models ensuring pricing reflects margin analysis, non-standard pricing exceptions, and deal approval workflows. Transition to Delivery (Sales → AMS Handoff). Own the formal handoff to Managed Services Delivery teams ensuring scope clarity and service readiness. Standardization & Continuous Improvement. Develop and maintain SOW templates, pricing calculators, service catalogs, and assumption libraries. Analyze historical engagements to improve pricing accuracy and reduce margin leakage. Partner with AMS leadership to refine service offering and packaging and bundling strategies.TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Required Qualifications
You have at least 8+ years of experience participating in the selling of Managed Services, Professional Services >$1M-$10M to executive level officers. You’ll be an expert at collaborating with customers to scope, estimate, develop, and ultimately sell services in collaboration with executive sales associates. You should possess a strong understanding of Workforce Management (Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Absence, Compliance) software implementation experience in the HCM or ERP environments. You’ll possess excellent written, verbal, and formal presentation skills to client and partner audiences ranging from technical implementers through CTO/CIO levels. You will demonstrate the ability to advance sales campaigns in a needs-based and highly participative fashion which should include consultative dialog, cross-functional engagement, and facilitate workshops. You will have the ability to travel up to 50% with the potential for international travel. Deep experience drafting and negotiating SOW’s, Service exhibits, Change Management clauses. Strong attention to detail and risk mitigation. Prior exposure to RFP responses, large multi-year services contracts and Global or multi-country service models. Associates that are located near an ADP or WorkForce office, would be expected to follow the ADP hybrid work model.A college degree is great but not required. Strong comprehension of implementation principles and lifecycles. Familiarity with or background in HR, Payroll, or Workforce Management. Experience with Application Managed Services (AMS) or long-term services models. Familiarity with SLAs, KPIs, escalation models, support tiers and service levels.
