This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location within the CHR Corporate Human Resources division. This is an onsite position.
The Workday Sr. System Analyst will be a member of Abbott HRTS group supporting the Timekeeping and Absence team. This position will provide subject matter expertise in workshops/meetings for problem definition, as-is and to-be process modeling, problem solving, and opportunity analysis, while providing the necessary solutions. This position will also be responsible for providing input on project planning and administration, developing and documenting business requirements, and delivering and testing implementation solutions. The incumbent must have an in-depth knowledge of Workday's various technologies and implementation methodology, and will combine those skills to deliver successful deployments in the Workday system.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, test, and deploy solutions in the Workday system to support Timekeeping and Absence for the US, Ireland, Mexico, and Costa Rica. Understand customers’ requirements and participate with the project team on the most appropriate approach and desired outcomes. Coordinate assigned deliverable schedules to ensure customers’ timelines are met. Provide guidance to customers or service partners. Providing insight and recommendations to the architects on the project to help solidify final solutions Collaborate with Architects within their workstream to ensure the solutions identified are complete and accurate for moving forward with implementation. Understand and document the HR business requirements and translate requirements into system designs Create, maintain, and execute UAT scripts, including regression testing the new functionality before deployment Work with Security and Compliance to ensure the compliance checklist is being followed. Responsible for ensuring projects remain on time, and if there are delays, they are vetted through their leadership. Partner with functional leads for troubleshooting issues and resolving them in a timely manner. Ability to prioritize and work on multiple requests Actively participate in the Workday Community, training, and regional user groups to ensure awareness of current trends and innovation

Apply and execute standard information systems theories, concepts, and techniques, and assist in the development of standards and procedures. Investigate alternatives that use existing applications, and make recommendations.
Conduct tests; develop preliminary findings for review by management. Conducts training.
Manages projects according to milestones and within budget constraints. Identifies and implements process improvements.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Business or Computer Science.
Minimum Experience / Training Required
3-5 years of experience
Experience with Cloud-based HR Systems, preferably Workday
Desired Skills
Experience with Workday modules – US Workday Timekeeping and Absence is required.
Experience with Workday modules – HCM and Payroll is a plus.
Workday certification/training is a plus.
Excellent communication skills.

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
