Workday Security Lead
Lineage Logistics
The Workday Security Lead is responsible for architecting, governing, and guiding the secure implementation of Workday Security across Finance, HRIS, and related platforms. This role will lead security strategy, coordinate compliance activities, and act as a liaison between security stakeholders and technical teams. The candidate will provide mentorship, drive improvements in access control, and ensure Workday security aligns with both enterprise standards and own Workday security related deliverables within SOX, and GDPR compliance initiatives.
**Key** **Responsibilities:**
+ Lead strategic design and governance of scalable Workday security frameworks across HCM, Financials, Payroll, Adaptive Planning, and future modules.
+ Designing and Implementing Security Frameworks: Defining and implementing security models across various Workday modules including Workday Financial Management, HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, and Workday Adaptive Planning.
+ Security Configuration: Performing hands-on configuration of Workday security settings, including security groups and user access management.
+ Access Control and User Provisioning: Drive enterprise-wide access control policies. Collaborating with different teams to define and refine access controls and user provisioning processes. Organize for and conduct User Access Reviews (UAR) two times a year.
+ Security Architecture Reviews: Lead regular architectural security reviews and approve design for new initiatives and integrations.
+ ComplianceandAudits:Own SOX & GDPR compliance initiatives.
+ Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnosing and resolving security-related issues within the Workday system. Lead root-cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
+ Staying Updated: Stay abreast of Workday community best practices, and drive implementation of Workday-delivered security enhancements. Ensure that all related security aspects are considered.
+ Documentation: Establish and Maintaining comprehensive documentation of security architecture, standard operating procedures, change control logs, and audit trails, policies, and procedures for all security changes.
**Skills and** **Experience:**
+ 5–7 years of Workday Security experience with deep expertise across multiple modules.
+ 2–3 years leading Workday Security efforts in a global enterprise.
+ WorkdaySecurity Expertise:In-depthknowledge ofWorkdaysecurity frameworks, including domain and business process security policies, security groups, and user access management.
+ Security Architecture and Design: Proven experience in designing and implementing security solutions, including intersection security, new security roles and other configurations within Workday.
+ Demonstrated experience leading:
+ SOX readiness or remediation initiatives
+ Security reviews with GRC or internal audit teams
+ Understanding of security control frameworks and threat modeling techniques
+ Risk Management: Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies.
+ Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve security- related issues.
+ Soft Skills:
+ Leadership presence and ability to influence without authority
+ Strong problem-solving and critical thinking
+ Clear and assertive communication with stakeholders at all levels
+ Structured documentation and presentation abilities
+ Preferred Qualifications:
+ Workday certifications in Security or HCM/FIN are a plus
+ Prior experience in regulated industries (e.g., logistics, healthcare, or finance)
