Workday Human Capital Management - (Freelance) - Remote, Spain

What are we looking for?

Time and Absence Developer to design, configure, develop, and support the Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management modules within our HCM system

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain the Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management modules, including:

o Time entry templates, time calculation rules

o Absence accrual policies, eligibility rules o Time off plans, leave of absence types

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot business processes, condition rules, validations, and calculations.

• Collaborate with functional teams (HR, Payroll, IT) to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.

• Work with integration teams to support data flow between Workday and external timekeeping/payroll systems (e.g., Kronos, ADP).

• Support Workday bi-annual releases by testing new features and evaluating potential impacts on current configurations.

• Manage security roles and permissions for Time and Absence-related processes.

• Monitor ongoing performance of time tracking and absence modules, resolving issues as they arise.

• Create and maintain system documentation, training materials, and change logs.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM, specifically in Time Tracking and Absence Management modules.

• Strong understanding of Workday Studio, calculated fields, condition rules, and business process frameworks.

• Experience configuring: Time Calculation Rules, Work Schedules and Calendars, Accruals and Eligibility Rules
