Role details:
Title / Designation: Workday HCM Lead Location: Gurgaon, India Work Mode: Hybrid ( 2 days WFO)
Role & responsibilities:
• Lead the Workday team by overseeing daily operations, planning schedules, assigning responsibilities, and managing workloads to meet organizational goals.
• Estimate and manage deliverables by assessing work effort, resources, and timelines based on business priorities and team capacity.
• Act as a liaison between management and team members, ensuring clear communication and alignment across stakeholders.
• Own and manage core Workday HCM functional areas including Core HCM, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Talent, Absence, and Recruiting.
• Serve as the primary HRIS partner, providing consultative support to HR Business Partners and COEs through domain expertise and effective solution design.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, effective technical solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Lead solution assessment, validation, and deployment of Workday feature releases, enhancements, and configuration updates to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Configure and maintain Workday Business Process Definitions, security roles, and related setup components.
• Provide user support and troubleshooting to resolve Workday-related issues and ensure optimal system performance and user experience.
Candidate requirements:
• 12-15 years of experience with Workday Pro Certification in one or more modules such as Core HCM, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, or Talent & Performance (preferred).
• Strong understanding of HR operations, employee data management, and Workday business process workflows.
• Skilled in developing custom reports, building EIBs, and creating Condition Rules and Calculated Fields to support business requirements.
• Ability to align technology solutions with business priorities and deliver scalable, effective outcomes.
• Demonstrated capability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in managing sensitive HR data.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of the freight forwarding industry will be added advantage.
