Title / Designation: Workday Adaptive Lead Location: Gurgaon, India Work mode: Hybrid (3 days WFO)
Role & responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end Adaptive Planning lifecycle including requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare. Act as the techno-functional SME for Adaptive Planning, managing models, sheets, dimensions, versions, reports, dashboards, and security. Design scalable planning models for multi-entity, multi-currency environments covering workforce, revenue, expenses, capex, and scenario planning. Establish model architecture and governance standards including naming conventions, calculations, documentation, and change control. Manage data strategy and integrations between Adaptive Planning and Workday, ensuring data quality, automation, and reconciliation. Support FP&A and business users by building dashboards, improving planning processes, and resolving system issues.
Candidate requirements:
7+ years in the Workday ecosystem, including 4+ years of hands-on Workday Adaptive Planning experience (implementation and support). Experience leading at least one full Adaptive implementation or major expansion as a functional or techno-functional lead. Strong FP&A domain knowledge including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, headcount planning, allocations, and variance analysis. Experience building multi-dimensional financial models (entities, cost centers, accounts, products, projects) and optimizing model performance. Strong Finance fundamentals, including GL, fixed assets, expenses, chart of accounts, cost centers, financial statements, month-end close, intercompany, and financial data reconciliation. Good stakeholder communication skills, able to bridge finance teams and technical teams. Familiarity with financial consolidations such as entity structures, eliminations, roll-forwards, and multi-entity reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Workday Adaptive Planning certification (Implementation/Admin). Experience integrating Adaptive with Workday Financials or HCM using ETL, APIs, or file-based integrations. Experience in global, multi-country and multi-currency environments. Freight forwarding or logistics industry experience.
