Work Readiness Supervisor


Position Summary:

Supervises Work Readiness Facilitators while implementing and adapting work readiness curriculum. Oversees the assessment of readiness, aptitude, and skill evaluations of participants in Vocational Rehabilitation Services.  Performs administrative classroom duties and instructs participants in the program in preparation for unsubsidized employment. Performs ancillary duties related to his/her area of expertise, including providing vocational, computer, and work readiness skills for the agency. 

 

What You'll Do:

Coordinates teaching schedules, vacations, and other time off of Work Readiness staff. Develops and refines work readiness curriculum based on Fedcap Inc. job readiness philosophy and the evolving needs of the program. Assign and review training activities during the initial 5-day period in the job readiness program to determine participant potential for work. Oversees preparation of accurate and timely verbal and written reports to other relevant WeCARE staff on participant training progress and hands-on skills and work behaviors. Instructs participants in established curriculum using course materials through individual and group instructional methods. Maintains complete and accurate daily and weekly participant attendance and punctuality records, test scores, and Facilitator reports to vocational rehabilitation services leadership. Reports urgent participant issues, such as inappropriate behaviors, to appropriate WeCARE staff in a timely fashion. Devises and administers participant practical training exercises in the classroom and computer lab settings. Communicates program concerns and plans for curriculum revision to the Fedcap Assistant Director of Work Readiness and the WeCARE Project Director for budgetary planning. Revises curriculum and course objectives as required. Participates in outreach activities to selected groups for potential consumer referrals. Assists in selecting, developing, evaluating, and assigning work responsibilities to Work Readiness Facilitators. Conducts regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions with direct reports.   

 

You're a great fit for this role if you have: 

Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, such as psychology, vocational rehabilitation, or occupational rehabilitation, from an accredited institution preferred. One (1) year of supervisory or related experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. 

 

Compensation

$64,350 - $65,000 annually
