Work Authorization Management Lead Superintendent
**Job Description** BAE Systems is looking to hire a Work Authorization Management Lead Superintendent for its Jacksonville and Mayport FL Ship Repair sites. Duties and responsibilities will include: + Ensure that WAFCOR personnel are trained and qualified in accordance with applicate publications, U.S. Navy Standard Items, and documentation. + Verify assigned WAFCORs are maintaining and coordinating the Work Authorization Form process. + Designate and assign the WAFCOR for all BAE JSR availabilities that require a WAFCOR. + Responsible for creating and maintaining the WAF and tag-out training program and a list of personnel qualified in accordance with the program. + Schedules and conducts WAF training with ship`s force personnel, trades, and subcontractors. + Ensures that all crafts and subcontractors abide by the rules and regulations established by the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual and the Tag-Out User Manual. + Monitor assigned WAFCORs to serve as a liaison between ship`s force and repair activities to assist in resolving tag-out conflicts. + Verifies and ensures that crafts and subcontractors are working within the boundaries established by the Work Authorization Form. + Train WACOR personnel to enter and verify tag-out information into Electronic Shift Operational Management System (ESOMS) and E-Tag-Out System to support Repair Activities production. + Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through coordinators of managers/supervisors. The Project Superintendent is a Leader and Initiator in Safety, and ensures team compliance with all Company and OSHA regulated safety requirements and standards. Includes occasional, scheduled weekend duty. + Assess and track project work across disparate departments and craft disciplines + Understand task dependencies and logic (internal as well as external) + Evaluate and approve all WAF revisions + Ensure WAFCORs are conducting WAF audits to ensure proper WAF administration + Monitor project progress and communicate deviations from the plan + Analyze data and provide meaningful solutions to complex situations + Train WAFCORs, BAE personnel, teaming partners and Sub-Contractors in the overall WAF process **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** Minimum 6 years of Shipyard project management experience and/or Navy related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to apply high-level budgeting/accounting skills to execute contract ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. Ability to work independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to others. Determine appropriate actions, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for expediting results by exercising independent judgment within defined practices and policies. Ability to effectively communicate professionally, provide training wherever and whenever required, and respond to questions from managers, employees, clients, customers-both internal and external, and the general public. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project). Works with minimal direction, independently determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to others. Follows an organized method in approach to work but is cognizant of the time needed to provide a service or product. Ability to speak effectively before others in and outside the organization. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, production schedules, budgets, manning requirements, engineering documents, technical procedures, government regulations, common manuals and journals. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Typical Education & Relevant Experience 8 Years with HS 6 Years with AA 4 Years with BS 2 Years with MS Must be able to obtain and maintain Defense Biometric Identification Systems "DBIDS" access card. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Thorough knowledge of NAVSEA, USCG, ABS, and other guidelines, specifications, requirements + Thorough knowledge of NAVSEA Tagout Users Manual (TUM) + Knowledge of Navy Standard Items (NSIs) + Knowledge of OSHA regulations pertaining to Lock Out Tag Out and Lock Out Tags Plus + Knowledge of AI to improve task tracking processes and toolsets **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $75254 - $127930 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
