The opportunity:

A Woodyard Operator performs loading and unloading of outbound and inbound trailers using knuckleboom loaders and other heavy equipment. The Woodyard Operator also performs pre-hauling work using power tools and hand tools and also works to ensure yard maintenance is maintained in a safe and clean condition.

How you will impact WestRock:

Safely operate heavy equipment such as front-end loaders and knuckleboom loaders.Safely operate yard spotter trucks, chainsaws, pole trimmers, wheel loaders, lawn mowers, and miscellaneous hand tools.Perform basic mechanical maintenance on tools and equipment.Travel to Covington, VA and Rupert, WV is needed on a limited basis.

What you need:

Must be able to safely operate heavy equipment such as front-end loaders and knuckleboom loaders.Must be able to safely operate yard spotter trucks, chainsaws, pole trimmers, wheel loaders, lawnmowers, and miscellaneous hand tools.Must be willing to work overtime and work outdoors in all seasons. Ability to lift 50lbsMechanically inclined.  Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
