Join our growing team as a 1st Shift Wood Mill Operator! We are looking for dependable, motivated individuals to support our production operations during our daytime shift. Responsibilities:
Set up, monitor, and control machinery that cuts lumber products.Examine raw wood for defects and measure finished products to ensure accuracy and quality.Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and make adjustments to equipment.Adhere to safety procedures, monitor equipment performance, and maintain a clean and safe workstationGrease, oil, lubricate, and service the equipment in the following areas throughout the plant and adjacent area.Clean lacquer spray booths, Clean and scrape handle conveyor belts.Clean handle drying conveyor, Clean lacquer at spray station feed rolls.Clean dust from technocrats Blow down dust in handle finishing department and sweep floors.Service, change and repair oilers, oil lines, and grease fittings on all equipment as required.Report any broken or worn parts or equipment that is observed in performance of duties.Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency
Experience: 12 months
Skills:
Ability to operate various machinery, read technical drawings, and perform basic math.Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods and manual handling of materials.Crucial for inspecting wood quality, measuring accurately, and adjusting equipment to specifications.Ability to troubleshoot equipment that is not functioning properly.Related Experience: Sawmill operator, Machine Operator, Wood Worker, Lumber Mill, Manufacturing
