Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction

We are looking for a Wiring Harness Build Inspector to join our final inspection team within a busy production department. This role will be based at our site in Abercynon, South Wales. This is a Fixed Term role for a period of 12 months. 

 

About the Role

The Harness Build Inspectors primary function is to ensure that all products in build within the harness manufacturing area meet all specifications and all relevant documentation is completed. Ensuring that the products meet customer requirements at each stage of its manufacturing process and where necessary report all non - conformities. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Ability to learn and identify non - conforming product against current manufacturing standard and customer requirements. Inspecting all components and assemblies at all stages of the manufacturing process.Responsible for checking, progressing and collating accurate build and inspection records with supervision of current inspectors.Ensuring all associated documentation is completed correctly and accurately (Batch follower/ works order cards), with supervision of current inspectors. Alerting the Quality team/ Inspector/ Team Leader/ Production Engineer of ongoing and potential problems (Process and workmanship). Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Qualifications and Experience 

Excellent attention to detail and accuracyGood communication skillsPrevious experience with wire cable/ wire harnessing assembly is desirable but not essential. Understanding of IPC 620 and build specifications.

Our Recruitment Process 

Initially we will reach out to you for an informal conversation about the role. This will allow you the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about TT, our site and our team. It will also give us the chance to learn more about you and your experience to date. At this point both parties have the opportunity to decide if they would like to continue with the process.

 

Formal Interviews will be held on site and include a tour of the facility.

 

Due to the specific projects TT Electronics Abercynon Supports we are unable to sponsor work visas for this role. Candidates will be required to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard Clearance and hold UK or US citizenship.

 

Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre and during employment drug and alcohol testing.
