How you will make contributions that matter... Develops, implements, and monitors lab programs such as safety, equipment calibration, product quality and total quality as outlined by Saputo Quality Systems.  Provides training on programs.Helps maintain plant FSP (Food Safety Plan) and has ability to attain PCQI certificationSupervises inspection and quality control operations involving incoming materials, in process sampling and finished product evaluation.Investigates and analyzes quality problems, recommends solutions, and ensures corrections are completed.Directly supervises the activities of the Supervisor Sub, Quality Assurance Specialists, Positive Release Technicians, Instrument Specialist and Lab Technicians and coordinates their activities with operations.Develops, monitors, and provides training on standard operating procedures (SOPs) as they pertain to quality/lab operations and procedures.Complies with all quality system and regulatory requirements and participates in regulatory compliance inspections/audits as needed.SQF - Review and provide updates to personnel responsible for maintaining raw material specification and certificate of analysis documentation.  Act as SQF Practitioner with QA Manager.Performs miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required such as creating reports, performing audits, training and record keeping.Ensures certification of the lab by maintaining proper documentation for all internal and governmental requirements (i.e. antibiotic records, equipment temperatures, water and air, proficiency results, proper sterilization records, etc.)Demonstrates initiative and strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills.Demonstrates safe and quality conscious work habits and follows all company policies and procedures.

You are best suited for the role if you…

Values that align with the Saputo culture. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Dairy Manufacturing, Dairy Science, Food Science or a related field from four-year college or university preferred.Minimum of two years of supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in the dairy industry.Minimum of four years experience in a quality-related field, with significant experience in the development of quality systems.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
