Job Summary
The Wellness Specialist is responsible for supporting and promoting employee health and wellness programs at the facility. This role involves organizing wellness activities, providing education on health initiatives, and supporting occupational health efforts. The Wellness Specialist works closely with employees and healthcare providers to implement wellness initiatives that enhance employee well-being and promote a healthy workplace culture.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Nursing, or a related field required1-3 years of experience in employee wellness programs, health education, occupational health, or related fields requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple wellness initiatives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees in wellness activities.Knowledge of health and wellness principles, including nutrition, fitness, stress management, and preventative care.Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, record-keeping, and tracking wellness program data.Ability to collaborate with healthcare providers and occupational health professionals.Licenses and Certifications
BCLS - Basic Life Support requiredCHES - Certified Health Education Specialist preferred orCertified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) preferredThis position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
