Demonstrates competency performing various patient wellness tests, clinical assessments and evaluations. Demonstrates competency designing, executing, and evaluating safe, effective wellness programs for individuals and groups. Wellness Trainers are responsible for the application of current knowledge, theory, evidence and sound clinical judgment in patient management. Responsible for review, analysis, and documentation of patient results in clinical documentation tools. The Wellness Trainer assists with department and program planning. Assists in researching best practices, measuring effectiveness and performance. Participates as member to collaborative research teams that examine relationships among nutrition, physical activity, resiliency and overall health. Responsible for understanding and promoting the Healthy Living Program philosophy and assisting patients with establishing an ongoing relationship with Mayo Clinic. **Qualifications** Licensure or eligible for licensure in the state of MinnesotaAdvanced degree in a health care field. Demonstrated skills in the areas of organization, communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, decision making and problem solving. Holds board certification in clinical specialty area. Active participation within professional organization. Must demonstrate effective coaching skills including reflective listening and motivational interviewing. Maintains excellent customer service skills to foster a premium patient experience. Current physical therapy licensure in the state of Minnesota.
