SPM Surface Products is seeking a dedicated Wellhead Design Engineer to Designs, develops, builds, and implements new components, products and technologies in the Surface Wellhead and Xmas Tree industry. **Additional Info:** Shift: Regular Work Location: PT. SPM Surface Products Batam, Kepulauan Riau Travel Requirement: None You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment. Domestic relocation is not available for this position. **What You Will Do:** + Conducts engineering design, validation, and verification activities on oil and gas equipment, typically involving pressure-containing or load-bearing components, to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, customer specifications, and design requirements. + Prepares and reviews drawings, calculations, procedures, and bills of materials (BOM), securing necessary approvals to support the design process. + Carries out research and analysis to identify enhancements for new and existing products, tools, procedures, and processes, ensuring operational suitability and adherence to specified standards and client expectations. + Selects appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to balance cost considerations with performance objectives. + Provides assistance to other departments on matters related to manufacturing, testing, procurement, field service, and project management. **What Skills You Have:** + **Analytical Thinking:** Ability to draft technical reports and documentation. Sufficient attention to details and awareness of confidentiality of documents Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis. + **Technical Excellence:** Possess some knowledge of mechanical system to provide sound engineering solutions to common problems. Basic understanding of the application on the design of wellhead products to provide report and result analysis.Possess some understanding of the API 6A product and ability to explain about its application, function, features, use and support requirements. + **Design Software:** Good conceptualization skills used to visualize finished drawings and assigned projects. Ability to generate complete drawings with little guidance. Good working skill to operate computer aided drawing software. General working knowledge of GD&T. + **Product Testing:** Possessed some knowledge of the API 6A standard and able to apply them to the product requirements. + **Troubleshooting Technical Problems** General knowledge on material & coating selection & their applications. Some understanding of material processing & manufacturing techniques. The ability to analyse and solve common mechanical engineering problems with little guidance. **What Will Set You Apart:** + A degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in product design for oil field equipment, specifically in Surface or Subsea Wellhead and Xmas Tree equipment. + Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, as well as apply basic algebra and geometry concepts. + Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mathcad, spreadsheets, and word processing software. + Knowledge of materials and processing methods, including welding and heat treatment of metals and elastomers. + Proficiency in English speaking and writing. **Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):** + This job requires active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps. **Employee Benefit Details** At PT.
