Well Surveillance Engineer

Airswift is looking for a Well Surveillance Engineer (Fiscal de Poço) to work on a temporary offshore assignment (10–12 months) with a major operator in the energy sector. The position is based offshore in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, operating on a 14x14 rotation. Candidates must have valid offshore certifications and prior experience with well intervention or well integrity operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor, verify, and support well operations to ensure full compliance with operational procedures, regulatory requirements, and integrity standards.

Provide on-site oversight of well intervention activities including slickline, e-line, coiled tubing, pumping, and diagnostic services.

Audit and validate documentation such as well notifications, permits, risk assessments, and contractor compliance records.

Interface with offshore teams, vendors, and onshore engineering staff to coordinate intervention logistics and resolve technical issues.

Ensure real-time communication of non-conformities, safety deviations, and operational risks.

Contribute to After Action Reviews (AAR), root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support planning of integrity inspections, pressure tests, and barrier validations.

Maintain accurate field records and reports aligned with internal governance and regulatory standards.

Promote a strong HSSE culture and ensure safe execution of all wellsite activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in well integrity, well surveillance, or well intervention operations.

Valid CBSP and T-HUET certifications (mandatory).

IWCF or well control certification is a plus.

Availability for a 14x14 offshore rotation in Rio de Janeiro state.

Solid knowledge of well operations, pressure control, and integrity assurance.

Strong auditing, reporting, and field coordination capabilities.

Experience with HPHT wells or subsea interventions is desirable.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
