Airswift has been tasked by a major oil and gas client looking for a Well Planning Geologist (Unconventional) to work in Spring, TX for a 1 year assignment with possibility of extension and benefits offered. 

Description Correlate and refine target windows for horizontal well planning using subsurface interpretations, logs, and offset well data. Deliver well planning products including target maps, structure maps, cross sections, and target windows. Support drilling execution partners through pre-spud planning and execution alignment. Identify local geologic variability and communicate execution risks and constraints. Incorporate offset well results and lessons learned to continuously improve well planning templates. Ensure execution learnings are incorporated back into development targeting decision. Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple disciplines and groups Certifications/Qualifications Masters in Geoscience preferred Software experience Kingdom (mandatory), Petrel (optional) Level of experience Mid-Advanced Unconventional Oil and Gas Experience (Midland Basin preferred) Experience in well planning/geologic operations
