Operate and maintain drilling rigs and support equipment for environmental and geotechnical investigations. Install monitoring wells, soil borings, and perform well abandonment in accordance with NJDEP regulations. Collect soil, groundwater, and vapor samples following standard operating procedures and prepare accurate field documentation.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain drilling rigs and support equipment for environmental and geotechnical investigations.Install monitoring wells, soil borings, and perform well abandonment in accordance with NJDEP regulations.Collect soil, groundwater, and vapor samples following standard operating procedures.Prepare accurate field documentation such as boring logs, well construction diagrams, and daily activity reports.Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.Supervise and train drilling assistants or helpers as needed.Transport equipment and materials to job sites using CDL vehicles.Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and field staff.Essential Skills
Valid New Jersey Well Driller License (Environmental or Master preferred).Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental drilling and sampling.Valid CDL (Class A or B) with a clean driving record.Proficiency in hollow stem auger, mud rotary, air rotary, and direct push drilling techniques.Compliance with NJDEP regulations and ASTM sampling standards.Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions.Strong organizational and communication skills.OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The work environment includes three fully-equipped Geoprobe® units capable of discrete soil and groundwater sampling, air rotary drilling, and geotechnical investigations. The facility supports both small and large projects with state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring that all drilling needs are met efficiently. Expect a full-time schedule with 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday.
