Role Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Welding Inspector and play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in the welding processes for our client, a leader in the engineering and construction industry. This full-time contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects in Belgium, where your expertise will directly impact project success.

Key responsibilities: Perform welding inspections according to project requirements and procedures. Review and validate WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualification Records (WQRs). Carry out visual inspections and coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT). Ensure welding processes comply with ASME, AWS, API, or EN standards. Prepare detailed inspection reports, NCRs, and other QA/QC documentation. Liaise with clients and contractors to ensure quality expectations are met. Attend site visits, kick-off meetings, and technical discussions when required. Follow up on welding progress and report deviations or concerns. Perform material receiving inspections to verify compliance with specifications, certificates, and traceability requirements. Skills & Qualifications: Certified Welding Inspector: Valid CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI certification is mandatory. NDT Knowledge: Familiarity with UT NDT (PCN or ASNT) and induction pipe bending experience. International Standards: Strong understanding of international welding standards and codes (ASME, AWS, EN, API). Technical Reporting: Proficiency in technical reporting and use of Microsoft Office. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Communication Skills: Good command of English (spoken and written). Independence: Ability to work independently and under pressure. Education & Experience: Qualifications: Diploma or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably with third-party or inspection bodies. The next step
