Welding Engineer
Position: Welding EngineerLocation & Conditions Location: United Kingdom (resident status). Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with missions to Iraq (4 weeks). Start Date: March 2026. Duration: 24 months Key Responsibilities Ensure all welding activities comply with international codes, project specifications, and best engineering practices. Supervise and review technical documentation (WPS, WPQR, testing, audits) during detailed engineering, procurement, and construction phases. Act as the focal point for welding-related technical matters, liaising with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Participate in inspections, qualifications, and special processes such as heat treatment and cladding. Identify and mitigate risks, proposing cost-optimized solutions without compromising quality and safety. Candidate Profile Experience: Minimum 15 years in oil & gas projects, including 10 years as Welding Engineer on large-scale projects. Education: International Welding Engineer diploma (IIW, EWF, ESSA) and a degree in Engineering (Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical, or related field). Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with codes such as ASME B31.3, AWS D1.1, ASME BPVC. Languages: Fluent in English. Soft Skills: Strong communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
