Spherion Canonsburg is looking for an experienced Welder to work a rotating shift in Donora. Starting pay depends on experience, but starting at $19/hr. This is a Temp to Hire position. Welders are needed to ensure production and warehouse needs are met!

Job Description:

As a Welder, use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Responsibilities:

Plan jobs by reviewing work orders and gathering the correct tools and materials.Fabricate items using various welding, cutting, and burning techniques.Safely operate equipment, including overhead cranes, to handle materials.Monitor the process to ensure high-quality work without damaging parts.Report any issues with equipment or materials to a supervisor.

Education: High School

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: 6 months

Welding

Physical:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to stand for extended periods of time

Skills:

Welders understanding of welding machines and tools including design, uses, maintenance and repairUnderstanding of metallurgyAbility to weld components that are vertical, flat or overheadAbility to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of formsBasic understanding of mathematics as related to welding
