Job Title: Welder

Job Description

As a Welder III, you will be responsible for using the correct jigs to weld products in a dynamic production shop where the products vary depending on the job. Your role will involve 40% quality control and 60% welding. You will work primarily with mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, focusing on non-structural, aesthetic, and functional welds. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and quality control setups.

Work Environment

You will work in an open and well-lit environment with shifts rotating monthly between AM and PM. The morning schedule runs Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, while the afternoon schedule is Monday to Thursday from 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM and Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The facility includes updated welding booth bays and new tools, ensuring a clean and modern workspace. Personal protective equipment is provided, though employees must bring their own welding helmet.

Responsibilities

Weld a variety of products with a focus on aesthetic and functional quality, ensuring no weld spatter.Perform fabrication tasks such as measuring and cutting metals.Assemble welding displays and wire displays, similar to those found in grocery stores.Implement changes and set up processes for quality control.Adapt to varying product types and production requirements.

Essential Skills

3+ years of welding experience.Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication.Ability to read blueprints and set up jigs.Experience in using grinders, benders, punch press, and shear.Ability to adapt, think critically, and execute tasks efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CWB certification.Journeyman/Red Seal certification.Any welding ticket.Experience in a similar industry (plastics/metal).First Aid Ticket.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.79 - $34.97/hr.
