The Welder/Fabricator will split their time evenly between the shop and field, handling tasks related to welding and fabricating steel (Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel) according to drawings and specifications. In the shop, the focus will be on Mig and Tig welding, while fieldwork will primarily involve stick welding. The role also includes maintaining a clean and safe work environment and communicating effectively with supervisors and project leads. This role could also include traveling up to 2 or 3 weeks at a time while working in the field.
ResponsibilitiesPerform welding and fabrication tasks in both shop and field settings.Utilize Mig and Tig welding techniques in the shop.Conduct stick welding during fieldwork.Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in all work areas.Communicate effectively with supervisors and project leads to ensure project requirements are met.Travel for fieldwork assignments up to 2-3 weeks at a time.
Essential Skills2-3+ years of experience in Mig, Tig, and Stick welding.Ability to read blueprints and perform layout tasks in the field.Experience welding with various metal types including Stainless, Carbon, Galvanized, Sheet, and Aluminum.Capability to lift 75+ lbs independently.Strong dependability and work ethic.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Laser Operators, particularly Mazak, or similar equipment like Amada, Mitsubishi, and Cincinnati.Press Brake Operating Experience.Familiarity with Nesting Software.

Work Environment
