Contract to Hire position$26.00 to $29.00 /hourFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:30am to 03:30pm)Study and interpret drawings, specifications, and manuals to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequences.Set up and operate fabricating equipment such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, welders, and drill presses.Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions using MIG, TIG, or stick methods.Construct templates, jigs, and fixtures for assembly and fabrication tasks.Straighten or repair parts as needed due to weld stress or wear.Perform grinding, spatter removal, and finishing on welded surfaces.Assemble sheet metal products and machine structures with high precision.Perform self-inspection to ensure quality standards are met.Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to resolve issues.Maintain clean and organized workspaces and equipment through.Welder/Fabricator Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.One-year welding certificate from a college or technical school preferred.Minimum of six months of related welding and fabrication experience required.Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding geometric tolerances and dimensions.Skilled in use of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and indicators.Strong math skills including geometry and algebra for material calculations.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.Knowledge of welding safety and ability to maintain a clean, safe work environment.Computer proficiency preferred.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
