Miller Brother Staffing is actively seeking a Fitter/Welder in Pittsburgh PA area.
Shift - 1st Shift - 6:30am - 3pm, Plus OT.
Pay - $20-$25 an hour based on experience
FITTER I WELDER I LAYOUT
Components of work include but are not limited to:
45% Welding structural steel and miscellaneous metals including steel stairs and railing. Metals include a variety of steels and aluminum. This work calls for cutting with oxygen and natural gas/acetylene.
Welding methods frequently employed include metal arc and MIG.
35% STEEL FABRICATION to include loading and unloading trucks, operation of machinery to cut, punch, bend, thread, and grind metals, and wire brushing and painting of steel.
5% PLANT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR to include lubrication, maintenance, and minor repair of shop equipment, maintenance of the grounds outside the building, and maintenance and repair of the building (i.e. repairing windows, painting, roof repairs, light replacement).
Job Requirements:
A fitter/welder/layout man is expected to be able to work well with others as well as by himself He should be able to accurately layout, read drawings, weld effectively using shop equipment, and be able to conscientiously carry out work assignments as a metal craftsman. The work may be physically rigorous.
