Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

Job Description

Join our team to layout, fit, fabricate, and assemble components for Heat Processing Equipment. This role involves assembly, dismantling, and repair activities.

Responsibilities

Layout, position, align, and fit components together.Secure proper positioning for welding by using clamps and tack welds.Set up equipment and weld parts using Stick, ARC, or MIG welding techniques, as well as TIG and alloy welding techniques as needed.Assemble parts by welding and riveting methods, ensuring structures are square and level.Perform tasks with sheet metal, including fabrication of oven panels, spot welding, and application of insulating materials.Conduct welding, cutting, and grinding on plates and structural components.Repair or modify products through dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembly.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Stick, MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.5-10 years of experience in welding and fabrication.Ability to pass a weld and quick math test.Experience with bending metal and cutting angles.Fabrication as the main skill set.Experience working on structural steel 1/4\"+ gauge thick.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Certification is not required but beneficial.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment where the noise level may be high. No steel toe boots required, but work boots are necessary. The position involves 25% welding and the remainder of the time will be spent fabricating, building, prepping materials, and installing insulation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chino, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
