**Job Title: Welder** We’re looking for a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our team! In this role, you’ll take pre-fabricated parts and weld them into sub-assemblies that are ready for painting. Some assemblies will follow standard designs using fixtures and jigs, while others will require welding based on blueprints. You’ll need to set up your MIG welder, interpret technical drawings, and efficiently fabricate pieces into their final form. **Responsibilities:** Receive assignments from the foreman and review project packages containing prints and pre-fabricated materials. Use an acetylene torch to cut large sheets, plates, or structural components to size, then grind edges using a hand-held electric grinder. Retrieve standard parts from inventory to complete sub-assemblies. Arrange weldments for welding and remove burrs. Clamp, spot weld, and adjust components to ensure proper positioning and alignment. Tack, fit, and finalize sub-assemblies before performing complete welds. Grind edges and welds on visible surfaces for a smooth finish. Operate overhead cranes or forklifts to maneuver large sub-assemblies. **Required Skills:** Expertise in MIG welding and fabrication. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. **Additional Qualifications:** Experience using acetylene torches and electric grinders. This first-shift role runs four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with an unpaid 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. **Job Type & Location:** This is a position based in Indianapolis, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
