**Welder / Fabricator – Stainless & Aluminum** **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Schedule:** 4x10s, Mon–Thurs (6:30 AM–5:00 PM) + Friday OT **🔧** **Position Overview** This role focuses on the **repair and fabrication of pipe, sheet, and structural assemblies** within an industrial manufacturing environment. Most work involves **stainless steel and aluminum welding** , with a mix of working from prints and building custom assemblies from scratch. Candidates who enjoy hands‑on fabrication, problem‑solving, and working across multiple areas of a facility will thrive here. **🛠️** **Key Responsibilities** + Repair and fabricate pipe, sheet metal, and structural components + Perform layout and fabrication of new and replacement piping systems + Install valves and related piping equipment + Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies to specification + Tack‑weld and weld components using **GTAW, SMAW, MIG, and gas welding processes** + **Use plasma cutters, acetylene torches, band saws, and cut‑off machines to size materials** + **Prep threaded pipe using threading and cutting machines** + **Work independently on PM tasks and partner with another technician on larger projects** **🎓** **Skills & Experience** **Required:** + Experience with stainless steel and/or aluminum welding + Ability to read prints and fabricate from scratch when needed + Proficiency with common welding processes (GTAW, SMAW, MIG, gas) + Comfortable working in industrial environments (heat, noise, varied locations) + Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly **Preferred:** + pipe fabrication or industrial maintenance + Experience installing valves and piping systems + Strong layout and measurement skills **🌡️** **Work Environment** + Industrial processing facility + Loud, warm, and physically active environment + Work performed throughout the building, including some outdoor areas + Mix of independent work and small‑team collaboration **🚚** **Compensation & Perks** + Paid drive time while on contract + Consistent 4‑day workweek with optional Friday overtime + Stable, long‑term opportunity with steady project flow **🕒** **Hours** + Start time flexibility between **6:00 AM and 8:00 AM** + **Standard schedule: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Thursday** + **Overtime available on Fridays** **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wahpeton, ND. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
