Job Title: WelderJob Description

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals for welding positions in our Steel and Irrigation Operations division. As a welder, you will be responsible for welding metal components to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing and various arc and gas welding equipment.

ResponsibilitiesOperate welding equipment to build and weld poles using GMAW (MIG) welding.Ensure compliance with MIG welding certifications to meet AWS and customer-specific requirements.Weld in flat and horizontal positions.Adjust welding equipment to prescribed settings.Operate oxy/acetylene burning and plasma cutting equipment.Prepare poles for final weld off.Use IFS labor reporting system, standard shop forms, and move tags.Read and utilize blueprints and flat sheets to perform scheduled work.Pass and maintain weld certificates for AWS, CWB, and other customer-required certifications in GMAW welding.Set up, operate, and perform general maintenance of equipment.Make mathematical calculations to ensure products meet proper specifications.Operate Base Press, Rounder, Straightener, and forklift if qualified.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of production welding experience or a technical welding degree from a trade school.Experience in pulse welding, MIG, and Flex core.Ability to perform MIG welding on basic utility structures.Ability to read and decipher blueprints without assistance.Proficiency in mathematical calculations for welding products.Physical ability to perform assigned tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsOne year of previous experience operating a forklift is highly desirable.Proficient at reading and using a tape measure, compass, micrometer, mag level, protractor, versa gauge, and caliper.Ability to retrieve information from a computer and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and IFS.High awareness of safety standards.Capability to lift 50 lbs consistently.AWS certification or a relevant trade school qualification is a plus.Candidates should demonstrate a stable work history with tenure at prior positions.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
