Job Title: Pipe Welder / TIG Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder with strong fabrication abilities to join our team. The role involves TIG welding and working with stainless steel grades 304, 310, and 330, known for their heat resistance. You will be responsible for building the body of units using tools such as torch tools, band saws, and grinders, and working with dimensions up to 25\" tubing.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain basic power tools, including grinders, drills, saws, magnet drills, band saws, and forklifts safely and efficiently.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.Use a T-square and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and alignment of fabricated components.Identify and correct errors or inefficiencies in work processes, ensuring high-quality output.Collaborate with management to prioritize tasks and address production challenges.

Essential Skills

Proficient in structural welding, TIG, and MIG welding.Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel, and knowledge in 5G and 6G pipe welding.Skilled in using power tools such as angle grinders, drills, plasma cutters, and band saws.Certified or experienced in operating forklifts.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to perform MIG welding with clean, strong welds on various materials and thicknesses.Proficiency with measurement tools like T-square and tape measures.Capable of planning, organizing, and executing fabrication projects from start to finish.Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly.Effective time management to keep projects on schedule.Clear verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Knowledge of shop safety practices.

Work Environment

The role is based in a typical manufacturing garage shop, which is large and provides ample space to complete tasks. Expect some noise from power tools, and you will be working alongside approximately six other team members. The environment emphasizes safety and effective project facilitation to meet timelines and quality standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
