**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled welders to join our team in erecting structural steel for multiple projects. This position requires travel to various sites throughout the lower mainland. The role involves welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions, securing necessary jigs and fixtures, and practicing good housekeeping to maintain a hazard-free work site. Participation in safety meetings is also required. **Responsibilities** + Erect structural steel for various projects. + Travel to different sites in the lower mainland. + Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. + Secure necessary jigs and fixtures, filler material for welding operations. + Maintain a clean and hazard-free work site. + Participate in safety meetings. + Perform SMAW welding (95% of tasks). + Work on structural and miscellaneous steel tasks including welding canopies and awnings on buildings. + Engage in ironworking, layout, and installation of railings, canopies, and stairs. + Handle higher-end architectural tasks and steel miscellaneous ironwork, such as roof structures. **Essential Skills** + CWB certification in all positions. + Proficiency in SMAW and flux core welding. + Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and specifications. + Minimum 2-3 years of experience for one person. + C level certification for the second person. + Must possess own transportation and a valid driver’s license. + Ability to independently lift 50-100 lbs. + Experience with ironworking. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Fall protection certification. + Rigging skills. + Experience in installing structural steel. + 1 year of field experience. + 2+ years of hands-on welding experience with stick (SMAW) and flux-core. **Why Work Here?** Our organization offers competitive wages based on experience, with opportunities for overtime. The work environment is outdoors in all weather conditions, working alongside 4 crews, each consisting of 2-3 people. You'll stick with one crew and a lead hand, with guidance from the installation manager. Essential gear includes a welding pouch, chipping hammer, gloves, and helmet. We foster a very positive environment, providing support and assistance where possible.
