				**Role Overview:**
  
  
The Welding and Fabrication Assistant supports the production of custom equipment and solutions by helping to produce, join, and finish parts and components. This role is essential in assisting the fabrication team with manufacturing challenges across various industries.
  
  
**Key Responsibilities:**
  
  
+ Assist in welding and fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, and finishing metal components.
  
+ Support welders and fabricators in assembling parts according to engineering specifications.
  
+ Operate basic shop equipment such as grinders, saws, and drills.
  
+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  
+ Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
  
+ Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
  
  
**Qualifications:**
  
  
+ Basic understanding of welding and metal fabrication processes.
  
+ Ability to read and interpret simple technical drawings.
  
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
  
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  
+ Willingness to learn and take direction from current team members
  
  
**Preferred Skills:**
  
  
+ Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  
+ Familiarity with MIG/TIG welding techniques.
  
+ Forklift or crane operation experience is a plus.
  
  
**Pay and Benefits**
  
  
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
